From the Albert Hall to Zambian AIDS victims

July 27, 2005

What a bizarre weekend. It seemed to go from one extreme to another and I’ve only just recovered enough to post about it. Friday was spent at the Albert Hall enjoying a performance by the Royal Philharmonic orchestra of Mozart’s Violin Concerto No 3 and Mahler’s Symphony No 5. An amazing venue without a doubt [...]

Murdoch snaps up Myspace

July 19, 2005

I may have spoken to soon when I suggested in my last post that citizen reporters will at least be an alternative to Murdoch’s view on the world. I notice that he has just snapped up myspace (the blogging network) for a cool $580m. Perhaps even blog reporters will soon be under Murdoch’s control!

Monkey business

July 15, 2005

Is it just me or has London gone a little mad right now? On the way to work yesterday morning I saw three policemen surrounding a monkey on the floor of a platform at Victoria Station. It was of the stuffed variety: with explosives I guess they assumed. Three platforms were cleared and there was [...]

The beginning of Yn Meddwl

July 15, 2005

Well this is it, my first ever blog. The beginning of Yn Meddwl. For those not versed in Welsh, the title of this blog site means “thinking” which sums up what it will be all about. I want this to be a place where I can record my thinking on all sorts of things – [...]
